Online GP services blog The UK's leading health cash plan provider is reminding its customers of this in light of recent concerns by the CQC and other regulatory bodies about some online GP services. These concerns do not include the service provided by Simplyhealth, which is approved by the CQC.

Nicola Johnson, Senior Product Manager for Simplyhealth, said: "If you feel you can trust the support, advice and medication given to you by a GP in your local doctors' surgery, you can certainly trust the GPs on Simplyhealth's myWellbeing platform. They are all NHS practising GPs so have the same qualifications and experience as the GPs at your local surgery. In addition, our GPs are available to speak to you at a time which suits you.

"Our customers are able to receive unlimited advice, reassurance, diagnosis, medication or referrals when they need it, from the comfort of their own home, office, or anywhere in the world. The service removes the stress of lengthy wait times to see an NHS GP and without the pressure of appointment time limits."

Simplyhealth's online GP service is available 365 days a year, 24 hours a day for telephone doctor appointments with webcam appointments available between 8.30am and 6.30pm on weekdays. There is no time limit on consultations, allowing a GP to have a comprehensive discussion with their patient to accurately diagnose and determine the best course of action.

Simplyhealth's GPs are also able to prescribe medication when it is in the best interest of the patient. All prescriptions follow the General Medical Council Best Practice Guidelines on remote prescribing with fully monitored dosage levels.

Simplyhealth's myWellbeing GP services are fulfilled by Medical Solutions, the only private GP service to provide a 24/7 unlimited private GP helpline, guaranteeing access to a practising GP.

All of our doctors are experienced GPs who are General Medical Council registered, licensed, on the NHS Performers list, GP Register and have full Medical Council of Ireland registration, qualifying them as "fit to practise".

In addition, doctors are recruited face-to-face with annual performance reviews and clinical audits are conducted to ensure our patients receive the quality of care they need.
