Can I change my level of cover?

You can change your level of cover once during your policy year. If you are increasing your level of cover your or anyone covered on the policy must be aged 79 or under.

Can I add my partner or children to my plan?

You can add up to four of your children or your partner's children up to the age of 18 to your plan.

You can add your resident partner for an additional premium as long as they are 79 or under.

How do I find out what is covered on my plan?

The quickest and easiest way to check what is covered on your plan is to register and log in to your account. Here you can access all of the information about your Simplyhealth plan and see exactly what you have claimed and what entitlement you have left. Your policy documentation has full details on everything covered on your plan.

What if I have a problem submitting a claim?

If you encounter any difficulties submitting a claim to us, please call our Customer Services team on 0370 908 3481.

Can I cancel my plan at any time?

You can cancel your plan at any time with one month’s notice. If your plan no longer suits your needs please give our Customer Options team a call on 0370 908 3304.

How long does it take to process a claim?

We aim to pay approved claims within a few days. Online claims tend to be paid faster than postal claims.

Do you have a question?

How much am I entitled to claim?

This will depend on your level of cover and the nature of your injury.

Children are covered for half the benefit amount of adults (except for the accidental death benefit, dental accident and funeral benefit where specific child limits apply as set out in the table of cover).

Are there any restrictions in relation to my age?

No benefit will be payable for permanent total disablement if you are aged 65 or over and not in paid employment or aged 75 or over and in paid employment

If you are aged 65 or over, other benefits will be paid at 50% of the amount shown in the table of cover, except funeral and dental accident benefit which will be paid in full.

Cover will automatically end when you reach age 85.

Can I cancel my plan at any time?

You can cancel your plan by writing to us, providing one months’ notice.

Where can I get more information or additional help when making a claim?

If you need to make a claim you will need to call us on 0370 908 3481 as soon as possible to submit your claim information. If you are unable to make the call yourself, someone else can contact us on your behalf.

Any delay in reporting a claim will affect how quickly we can deal with your claim, so please contact us as soon as possible.
