Using your online account

What is my online account for and how do I use it?

To use your Simplyhealth plan you need to register and sign-in to the SimplyPlan app or your online account through our website.


This is where you:

  • Access My Health - our network of trusted discounted and self- pay health services

  • Claim money back using our fast online claim system

  • View your policy documents

  • View previous claims

  • Check remaining entitlements

  • Update personal details

How do I know my data is secure?

We'd like to assure you that our data protection and cyber security teams work closely together to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of all personal data processed is maintained, including information shared via our website and portals.

Registering and signing in

How do I register?

It only takes a couple of simple steps to register.

 

Step 1

Firstly, you’ll need to download the SimplyPlan app if you haven’t already. Full details on how to do this can be found in this useful guide. Once downloaded, open it and tap ‘Register’ from the sign-in screen.

 

If you’re using your online account you can visit the registration page directly.

 

Next, you’ll be prompted to confirm your personal details and an active personal email address. Follow the steps to create your password before selecting 'Register'.

 

Step 2

Wait for an email called ‘You’ve got mail’ and once received, click the link to verify your email address. Remember to check your spam or junk folders if the email hasn’t arrived after a couple of minutes. The link will expire after 24 hours.

 

Something to watch out for

If you’re in a hurry and you’ve tried to sign in without clicking the link in your email, you’ll get stuck. Don’t worry; you’ll be prompted to click ‘Resend email’ and we’ll email you a new link to help you complete your registration.

 

Last step

Once you’ve verified your email address, you’ll see a page saying ‘Confirm Registration’ with a sign-in button underneath. Select 'Sign in' and use your email address and the password you’ve just created. A handy hint is to click the ‘eye’ icon to make sure you’ve typed in your password correctly, but make sure no one else can see your screen.

 

Follow the instructions on the screen to confirm your personal details and complete your registration.

 

All done, you’re ready to go!

How do I sign in?

To sign in to your account, open the SimplyPlan app and tap ‘Log in’. If you can’t use the app, go to 'My Account' at the top of our website instead. Then enter the email address you used to register your plan and your password


Tip: When typing your password, click the ‘eye’ icon to see what you’re entering. This helps to avoid typing mistakes. Just be sure no one else can see your screen to keep your password safe.

 

If you’re having trouble signing in

If you've tried to sign in before completing your registration, you'll be taken to a page called 'Your details'. Fill in any missing information and select ‘Confirm’. After that, you should be able to sign in successfully.

 

Important email address tips

Always enter your email address in lowercase - no capital letters. To double-check, make sure you haven’t got any uppercase letters.

 

Avoid copying and pasting your email address into this field or letting your device auto-populate with a saved version to prevent errors.

 

Use the email address you originally registered your plan with:

  • Even if you updated your email later, your online account login may still be linked to the original address

  • You don’t need access to this email to sign in if you know your password

  • If unsure, try any other email addresses you may have used to register

 

If you’ve forgotten your password

Select ‘Forgot your password?’ and follow the on-screen instructions to reset it.

 

After signing in, you can update your email address in your account settings.

How do I reset my password?

Forgotten your password? Don’t worry; it doesn’t take long to reset it. You can do it on the website or through the SimplyPlan app.

Online account

Click My account and select the 'forgot your password' link. Or, you can visit the 'Forgot password' section of your online account directly. Enter your email address, then hit 'Request password reset'.

SimplyPlan app

Open the SimplyPlan app, tap ‘Sign in’, then 'Forgot Password'. Enter your email address and hit 'Send Reset Link'.

Once you've requested the password reset, wait for an email called ‘Simplyhealth Forgotten Password’. It may take a few minutes to arrive, but once it does, open the email and click ‘password reset link is ready’. This link expires in one hour.

Follow the instructions to create and confirm your new password, then click 'Update my Password'. This will take you to a page saying 'Success! Your password has been updated '. From here you can click 'Sign in' and get back to what you need to do.

Something to watch out for... You won't be able to reset your password if you missed any steps in the registration process.

How do I update my sign-in details?

To change the email address you use to sign in, you’ll need to do this through your online account on our website. You’re not able to do this in our SimplyPlan app just yet.

 

Follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to your online account

  2. Click on your name in the top right-hand corner and go to ‘Security Settings’

  3. Scroll down to ‘Change my email’,

  4. Enter and save your new email address

 

After you submit the change, we’ll send a verification email with the subject ‘Simplyhealth change of email address’ to your new email. This email contains a code you’ll need to copy and paste into the box labelled ‘Confirm email verification code’ on your browser, then click ‘Verify code’.

 

If you don't enter the code and verify it, you'll need to continue to sign in with your old email address to access your plan.

 

Once verified, you’ll see an on-screen prompt saying “Success – email address has been verified.” Now you’re ready to sign in with your new email address.

 

How to change your password

You can update your password either in the app or online:

  1. Select the icon in the top right corner

  2. Select ‘Security Settings’

  3. Confirm your old password, then create your new password and select ‘Save password’

 

Forgot your password?

Simply select ‘Forgot your password?’ on the sign-in page and follow the on-screen instructions to reset it.
