Been prescribed medication by a GP using our SimplyConsult 24/7 video GP service? Start your treatment within hours by using our nominated pharmacy service.
Cut out the need to physically collect a paper prescription from your GP practice. Instead, simply go straight to your nominated pharmacy, collect and pay for your private prescription medication, and begin your treatment.
How can I get my prescription?
If during your consultation, your GP felt that a private prescription was needed, afterwards the SimplyConsult admin team will find an appropriately located pharmacy which accepts digital prescriptions local to you – you can choose where local to you is, work, home, holiday address, wherever. They’ll then email the prescription to the pharmacy, then email you to advise the location and when your medication is ready to be collected. Your medication will typically be available within 2 hours - subject to pharmacy opening hours.
No one likes to wait when it comes to their health. Our service enables you to get seen and start getting sorted, quickly, and easily.
Alternative prescription options
In the unusual circumstance that there are no pharmacies local to you that accept digital prescriptions, your paper prescription can be posted to you, first-class and free of charge.
Another option, if your prescription is not required urgently, is our online prescription service. This allows you to pay online via a payment link for your private prescription and a delivery charge, and have your medication delivered direct to your door.
Claim back costs for extra peace of mind
This is a private prescription service, so you will need to pay for any medication prescribed through the SimplyConsult GP Service. However, many Simplyhealth Health Plans enable you to claim back up to 100% of your receipt for prescriptions (both private and NHS) up to your annual limit. Annual limits range from £20 a year to £50 depending on which level of health plan you hold.
Simply making it easy to manage your health
“I am extremely impressed with the SimplyConsult service. I woke up at 7am knowing I needed medical advice. I was able to speak to someone and was prescribed necessary medication by 8.10am!”
