Simplyhealth, the health cash plan and private insurance provider, hosted a healthy cooking class with nutritionist Kate Cook on Sunday 1 December 2013 at The Underground Cookery School in East London. Guest food and lifestyle bloggers were invited to an 'Eat Yourself Young' workshop hosted by Kate, who has been practising nutrition for over 13 years, to discuss healthy eating and nutrition.
The pressures of getting everything completed on time, hitting tight deadlines and organising workloads can often induce higher levels of stress. Yet many people fail to spot the signs of stress or just obstinately believe they can manage without seeking professional advice.
Whilst we might not like to consider it, we can all be swayed by advertising ploys and supermarket offers. Like Anna Thomas, vegetarian cook and author, says it would be a waste to eat badly.
Someone who finds their happiest times enjoying a bowl of Moules Frites, creamy pasta carbonara or a heavenly pudding, may find their intolerance to its ingredients mean they are now having to live without.
Kate Cook is the director and founder of The Nutrition Coach, a nutritional clinic in London that offers a range of help in using healthy food to boost your health and sense of wellbeing. Since graduating from the Institute for Optimum Nutrition in 1997, she has seen over 5,000 patients, face-to-face, offering them expert advice on a range of different topics regarding healthy eating.
