Delivering our purpose through corporate giving
Our purpose is to help people make the most of life through better everyday health and our corporate giving is at the heart of fulfilling that purpose and honouring our heritage.
Our key focuses for corporate giving:
- Supporting an ageing population and the implications for health and social care
- Providing much needed support for carers to help them and their families make the most of life
- Helping those with physical and mental disabilities overcome challenges, limitations and fulfil their potential
- Improving children's dental health and supporting preventative dental healthcare
Working closely with our partners
Simplyhealth's grants help fund specific projects with clearly defined outcomes and longer-term impacts. We tend to partner smaller charities and enterprises, although projects may be delivered anywhere in the UK. Most of the projects we support help fill gaps in health and social care, which invariably save the NHS and local authority's money in the long run.
We believe where health and social care is concerned, preventative action is cheaper than remedial treatment or paying for the consequences of inaction. We look for additional ways to work with our partners to add value. These vary from campaigning, raising awareness, employee giving to fundraising, and volunteering.
Every year over 40,000 children in the UK are left with a brain injury as a result of an accident or illness. The Children's Trust offers the largest residential brain injury rehabilitation unit in the country. We donated £40,000 to fund a Health Play Specialist as well as outings and activities throughout the year. Through play, children practice the skills they learn in rehabilitation sessions in a fun and exciting way.

Challengers is dedicated to providing exciting and challenging play and leisure opportunities for disabled children and young people. It's a great opportunity for young people to get involved with activities with the level of support they need. We donated £55,000 to enable Challengers to grow its young adult provision that supports ages 18 - 25.

Revitalise transforms the lives of individuals and families who face the daily challenge of giving and receiving care. It provides a setting where guests can get away from it all for a few days, safe in the knowledge that their care needs are taken care of. In 2014 we donated £49,560.
Grief Encounter is one of the UK's leading child bereavement charities, providing free, pioneering services and support to children, young people and their families who have suffered the loss of a parent or sibling. We donated £17,448 to fund its e-counselling services, so the charity can reach those who are unable to attend face to face sessions via email and skype, ensuring they receive support when they need it most.
