Helping NHS staff look after their everyday health

As a Benefit Consultant, my role is to visit workplaces and speak to employees about how we can help them look after their own health. I love working with the NHS, because hospitals are such busy places and often staff don't have time to think about their own wellbeing. I visit every month and try to speak as many employees as possible, either by setting up stands in receptions, presenting at inductions or even attending wellbeing events. Continue Reading

Coping with the devastating effects of losing your sight can be daunting and incredibly overwhelming. In the UK, 200 people are diagnosed with macular disease every day - a disease that causes loss of central vision.

To help support people at the point of diagnosis of sight loss, we've funded Hannah Keegan's role as an Eye Clinic Liaison Officer (ECLO) as part of our work with RNIB to provide both emotional and practical support. Here, Hannah explains how she's working alongside the NHS to support people with their everyday health.

Mental health can affect any one at any time. One in four people will in fact experience a mental health problem every year (Mind). Never did I think that I could ever be that 'one'. Over the last few months, I've been battling with anxiety and depression and mental health awareness week seemed the perfect time to share my story and say how thankful I am to Simplyhealth, my work friends and my family for helping me on my journey back to work.
