Raising the bar with new employee reward offering

At Simplyhealth, our purpose is to help people make the most of life through better everyday health. That includes our own employees - the people who help us meet and exceed our customers' expectations every day.  That's why we've recently launched our transformational new approach to supporting and rewarding everyone who chooses to work here with us. 

Employee benefits are an important part of anyone's total reward package.  It's why we've worked hard to create and offer the greatest choice and flexibility to suit every individual's needs and life stages.  And just as we do for our customers, we want to do everything we can to help our employees live healthier and happier lives;  encouraging and supporting them to achieve better physical, mental and financial wellbeing. 

We're very aware of the growing pensions' crisis in the UK which is proving to be one of the biggest financial challenges for people today.  We also know from national research that there's a large population of people who simply don't have enough savings for their retirement, with many being forced to work into their 70's to help make ends meet.  So, we've taken positive and proactive steps to investing in our employees' futures - introducing benefits that help them save for their shorter and longer term financial needs, including saving for retirement.

How we're bringing this to life is through our innovative new 'investing in my future' solution; a new way of helping our employees make their money go further, investing in today and securing financial health for later in life.  Every one of our employees, regardless of whether or not they can afford to contribute to their pension, is now 'gifted' a 6% company contribution to their pension which isn't taken out of their pay.  If they choose to contribute an additional 4% to their pension from their own money, they unlock an additional 4% company contribution.  They can then choose to invest this 4% in a number of ways such as paying off a student loan, saving for a first rental or mortgage deposit or investing even more into their pension without having to prioritise one over another.

We're also really pleased to offer every employee at Simplyhealth an additional 'flexible benefits' fund which then can invest in a range of lifestyle benefits.   They can choose from animal health plans, dental cash plans, travel insurance, and Taste Cards to a wellbeing & learning fund; we want to support our people with their ongoing development, be that for work purposes or to help them pursue outside interests.  This is on top of our other benefits, such as a Simplyhealth cash plan to help support their everyday health; childcare vouchers and bike to work scheme; as well as access to Simplyhealth's Care For Life - an online service which provides advice and guidance for working carers.
