Health plans explained

Corporate health plans enable employees to claim back the costs of everyday healthcare, for a regular monthly premium.

There are six levels of cover in our health plan, ‘Optimise’. Claims can be made up to annual limits for each category of cover.

Optimise from Simplyhealth
All our health plans come with myWellbeing, an online portal with added value benefits such as GP Services, employee assistance programmes and health evaluation tools.
Optical health Including sight tests, prescription glasses and contact lenses
Dental health Including check-ups and treatment, for example fillings, crowns and bridges, hygienist's fees, dentures
Dental accident Treatment to return your oral health to its pre-accident state
Complementary therapies Physiotherapy, osteopathy, chiropractic, acupuncture and homeopathy
Foot treatments Chiropody/podiatry and reflexology
Diagnostic consultations, tests and scans Consultant's fees for a diagnostic consultation that is to find or help to find the cause of your symptoms. Includes allergy testing
Health assessments Help towards the cost of a detailed assessment of your health with a nurse, doctor or pharmacist
Prescription charges Prescriptions issued by a GP or dentist, also includes private prescriptions
GP fees, inoculations Reimbursement of fees when you see a private GP, plus help with the cost of inoculations
Hospital cover Cash amount when you are admitted to hospital, or staying with your child overnight
New child payment A payment if you or your partner have a baby or adopt a child
European cover You'll receive these benefits (excluding Employee Assistance Programme) for stays of no longer than 28 days, wherever you are in the EEA and Switzerland.

Optimise from Simplyhealth
GP Services 24/7 access to a GP helpline, either by phone or webcam. All doctors are NHS practising GPs and registered with the General Medical Council
Employee assistance programmes Advice and counselling, with up to six structured counselling sessions (per person, per issue, per year), either by telephone or face to face
Expert health information On treatments and conditions, lifestyle management and travel information
Lifestyle benefits and discounts Including discounted membership at over 3,000 gyms, sports equipment and family days out
Health evaluation tools Health screening from Nuffield, the Denplan dental health check and online risk assessments for the whole family

  • Making an online claim is easy with no forms to complete. Claims are normally paid within a few working days.

  • Up to four of an employee’s dependent children can be added to the plan for FREE. Each covered child shares an annual entitlement.
