Having to visit the dentist on a regular basis can become expensive, but with our affordable dental insurance plans you can keep the costs down.

The Simply Dental Plan is available to UK residents aged 18-79.

Monthly cost

Choose your level of cover and monthly cost:

Check ups

Each person can claim 100% of the cost of check-ups, up to the annual limit available under the plan.

Keep your smile healthy with regular visits to your dentist. You're covered immediately for check-ups which include examinations of the teeth, gums and X-rays if necessary.

  • check-ups, examinations, investigations or tests to assess your oral health, for example X-rays and diagnostics (including study casts, wax ups and stents).

You can claim back both NHS and private dental costs.

Scale and polish

Each person can claim 75% of the cost of each treatment, up to the annual limit available under the plan.

Keep plaque away by visiting your hygienist regularly. You're covered immediately for scale and polish which includes scaling - removing plaque, polishing - smoothing the surface of the teeth, and oral hygiene advice.

  • scale and polish completed by a dental clinician
  • hygienist's fees for maintenance.

Treatment

3 MONTH QUALIFYING PERIOD APPLIES

*Maximum we will pay for crowns, bridges, inlays and onlays.

Each person can claim 50% of the cost of each treatment, up to the annual limit available under the plan.

Your plan helps with costs to get relief from sensitivity. From protective fissure sealants, root canal treatment, bridges, crowns, fillings to a choice of inlays or onlays.

  • dental treatment provided by a dental clinician or specialist
  • local anaesthetic fees
  • dental crowns, bridges, inlays and onlays, up to the annual benefit limit
  • dental crowns, bridges or attachments to a dental implant
  • fillings and fissure sealants
  • dentures
  • fees for laboratory and dental technician services referred by a dental clinician or specialist
  • periodontal care
  • extractions
  • gum-shield provided by a dentist or orthodontist for use while participating in a sport
  • the standard NHS rate for one prescription for each course of treatment.

Accident

3 MONTH QUALIFYING PERIOD APPLIES

Each person can claim 100% up to the annual limit available under the plan.

You can enjoy peace of mind knowing that if you have a dental accident at home or on holiday, we'll help cover the costs to return your oral health to how it was before. Even if you damage an existing veneer, you can have it replaced.

  • restorative treatment to return your oral health to its pre-accident state if you receive medical or dental attention within 30 days of the accident
  • the standard NHS rate for one prescription (whether the prescription is an NHS or private prescription)
  • you can claim under the 'accident' and 'emergency visit' benefits for treatment that you receive outside the UK during a trip of up to 28 days duration.

Emergency visit

3 MONTH QUALIFYING PERIOD APPLIES

Each person can claim 100% up to the annual limit available under the plan.

Get faster relief from pain and infection when you need it urgently. Includes treating broken teeth, an abscess, re-cement a crown and tooth extraction.

  • dental treatment which you urgently need to treat or relieve:
    • severe pain that you cannot relieve with medicines that you can buy without a prescription (over the counter medicines)
    • trauma
    • inability to eat
    • acute infection
    • swelling in your mouth or face
    • uncontrollable bleeding in your mouth
    • a condition which causes a severe threat to your general health
  • callout fees - these are the fees charged by a dentist or specialist for attending an appointment at a dental practice outside the normal opening hours
  • we will pay the standard NHS rate for single prescription for an emergency visit, whether the prescription is an NHS or private prescription.

You can get antibiotics prescriptions directly from your dentist, if needed.

NHS Hospital

3 MONTH QUALIFYING PERIOD APPLIES

Each person receives a cash payment for each day/night you stay in hospital (up to a maximum of 20 days/nights each year).

You'll receive a cash amount if you're admitted to an NHS hospital for dental treatment. Take away some of the stress by using it towards meals for your visitors, phone calls, travel costs, and hospital parking fees.

  • time spent in an NHS hospital as an in-patient or day-patient where a referral is primarily for dental treatment. You must have been referred by a dentist, GP or accident or emergency department.

You're covered for up to 20 days or nights each year.

Mouth Cancer

3 MONTH QUALIFYING PERIOD APPLIES

A single payment, payable once for each person for the lifetime of their membership.

If you're diagnosed with primary mouth cancer, you can receive a single payment to help you during your difficult time.

  • We'll make the payment if you're diagnosed with primary mouth cancer:
    • by a specialist
    • after the qualifying period
  • We'll only pay you mouth cancer benefit once during the lifetime of your membership.
