Supporting women’s health in the workplace

The health needs of women are very different to men. Conditions such as endometriosis and premenstrual dysphoric disorder can be incredibly debilitating, while life stages such as starting a family or the menopause can hit women hard, physically, and emotionally. Unfortunately, years of stigma around women’s health mean that, although these conditions are common, many people feel afraid or embarrassed to talk about them.

In this guide we discuss why it’s important for organisations to support the health needs and experiences of women at different stages of their working lives, and how they can offer support. We also highlight the some of the different health conditions faced by women and provide useful resources to ensure the right tools are in place to offer information and advice to employees.

What this guide covers:

  • Why employers need to support women’s health
  • How employers can support women’s health
