My introduction to Simplyhealth was as Chairman of HealthSure during negotiations for our merger. Dealing with the Group gave me a very favourable view of its operations – and it’s a view that hasn’t changed. Professionally, I was in Customs and Excise and became an independent tax consultant. Dealing with all kinds of businesses gave me a pretty good understanding of failing companies as well as organisations, like our Group, that seem destined to succeed.
